Capillary Header

Dispersion layer:Pushes water out into the geotextile fiber so that it may be taken up by the surrounding soil particles. Does not allow the so-called "chimney effect" experienced with drip irrigation where water tunnels it way to the surface or travels straight downwards.

Capillary Fiber: Used to transmit the water to the soil after it has been wetted by the pressure compensating non-leaking (CNL) emitters.   Water travels through the geo-textile fiber at a rate roughly 3,000 times faster than soil (depending on soil type).

Pressure compensating Non-leaking emitter:
Emitters acts as a "check valve" which doesn't allow water and debris to enter the system through suction.
